Everton Bedin completed his PhD in Science Education: Chemistry of Life and Health in 2015 at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), his MSc in Chemistry Education in 2012 at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), and his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Teaching Degree) in 2009 at the University of Passo Fundo (UPF). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UFRGS in 2018 and is currently a CNPq Postdoctoral Fellow Abroad. He is a Professor at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Department of Chemistry, where he serves as a permanent faculty member in the Graduate Program in Science and Mathematics Education (PPGECM) and the Professional Master's Program in Chemistry (PROFQUI). He also served as Coordinator of the PPGECM from 2022 to 2026. He is the leader of the Holistic Multimodal Studies Group in Science Education (GEHMEC), certified by the CNPq Directory of Research Groups. His research focuses on Science Education, with an emphasis on Chemistry Education, Teacher Education, Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), Artificial Intelligence in Education, Metacognition, Active Learning Methodologies, and Neuroscience. He has published 178 journal articles, 9 books, and 33 book chapters. He has supervised and co-supervised undergraduate research, master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral projects. Some of his research performance indicators include an h-index of 15, an i10-index of 30, and more than 1,020 citations (Google Scholar, July 2026). In his professional activities, he coordinates research and extension projects funded by national research agencies and collaborates with researchers from Brazilian and international institutions.
