Bio

Emanuel Alexandre Coutinho de Freitas Reis is Graduated in Chemistry - Educational Branch (pre-Bologna process), Master in Multimedia Education (pre-Bologna process) and PhD in Science Teaching and Dissemination, having completed these academic degrees at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto - Portugal. Interested in formal, non-formal and informal teaching of Sciences, particularly in Physics and Chemistry, and in exploring the pedagogical opportunities provided by technological innovations and practical/experimental work. Also interested in developing innovative methodologies for educational and science management projects. Professional experience teaching Physical Chemistry in several Portuguese primary and secondary schools, as well as working in university research centers and companies in the educational sector. - Collaborated with Porto Editora in the prodution of the Escola Virtual project (2004-2005), having been scientifically responsible for the contents of the CD Química 12º ano - 1ªedição. - Contributed to the dissemination of the Moodle environment in schools in the central region of Portugal, having given several workshops for teachers. - worked as a Pedagogy Specialist at the company JP-Inspiring Knowledge (JP Sá Couto), having been involved in training in the area of ICT for Portuguese, Angolan and Gabonese teachers and contacted several foreign business delegations (2012-2013). - More recently (2014-2020), was Administrative and Team Coordinator at Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve, in Faro, in the context of a Scholarship in Science and Technology Management from Fundação da Ciência e Tecnologia, being responsible for managing and monitoring projects, coordinate partnerships and contacts with national and international entities, coordinate the implementation of procedures to improve internal organization. Currently works as a Physics and Chemistry teacher at the Professora Paula Nogueira School Group, in Olhão. At the same time, collaborates with the Project of the Direção Geral de Educação for the development of the Software "Living better on Earth, ensuring the sustainability of the Planet" - CPI/04/DGE/2022 - PREDEP 35663/2022 (PROC. 4586/2022), awarded to Kendir Studios company, with the role of Specialist in Physics and Chemistry of the Validation Team. • Certified trainer in Portugal.
